That’s dangerous against a quarterback like Daniels, who thrives on extending plays and hitting receivers once the defense breaks down. The Commanders have been mixing in more quick throws lately, which should help neutralize Dallas’s limited pass rush and open up the deep shots later in the game.

Bryce Young’s numbers last week might make it look like the Cowboys made improvements, but that’s misleading — Carolina leaned heavily on the run because Rico Dowdle was torching them on the ground. Daniels won’t have that luxury. Washington will need him to move the ball through the air, and given the defensive metrics, that’s exactly where the advantage lies.
