Indiana at Nebraska Prediction & Betting Pick | College Football October 10, 2026

This matchup is getting plenty of attention because of the undefeated records, but I'm more interested in one of the biggest mismatches on the field: Charlie Becker versus the Nebraska secondary. Becker has quietly become the centerpiece of Indiana's passing attack, and his role keeps growing as the season progresses.

The volume is exactly what I want to see backing a receiver prop. Becker owns a 30% target share, averages 95.4 receiving yards per game, and continues to be Josh Hoover's first look whenever Indiana needs a play. In an offense averaging more than 44 points per game, that's valuable usage.

What stands out most is how explosive Indiana has been regardless of game script. The Hoosiers aren't simply moving the ball; they're overwhelming teams. Last week's performance against Rutgers was another example, producing two 100-yard rushers and two 100-yard receivers in the same game. Defenses haven't found an answer yet.

Becker was a huge part of that success. Along with Nick Marsh, he shredded Rutgers' secondary and continued a stretch of elite production. His last two games resulted in 127 and 107 receiving yards, showing both consistency and upside heading into one of the biggest games on Indiana's schedule.

Nebraska's defensive numbers look solid at first glance, especially their ranking near the top of the conference in sacks. But pressure alone doesn't automatically eliminate receiver production. We've already seen Maryland's Chris Durr put up 149 receiving yards against this same defense, proving there are opportunities available downfield.

That's where Becker's skill set becomes important. He's not dependent on short catches and volume alone. He can win intermediate routes, stretch the field vertically, and turn a handful of targets into a big day. That's the type of receiver profile I want when betting overs.

The biggest concern for this prop is Nebraska's pass rush. The Cornhuskers have generated pressure consistently and forced quarterbacks into mistakes all season. If they collapse the pocket early, it could disrupt Indiana's passing rhythm for stretches.

Still, Indiana's offense has answered every challenge so far. Hoover has protected the football, the offensive line has held up well, and Becker continues to create separation regardless of coverage. Elite receivers often don't need perfect conditions to produce.

Game environment also helps. This is a Top-10 showdown with major Big Ten implications. Both teams are capable of scoring, and if Nebraska keeps the game competitive at home, Indiana should remain aggressive offensively for four quarters rather than sitting on a lead.

Another reason I like this spot is that Becker doesn't need a career performance to get there. His season average is already well above this number, and he's cleared this line in three of his last five games while entering Saturday in arguably his best form of the season.

At the end of the day, this comes down to role, volume, and trust. Becker is the focal point of one of the hottest offenses in college football, he's coming off consecutive 100-yard games, and we've already seen Nebraska allow a receiver to post a massive number against them. In a game with playoff-level intensity, I expect Indiana to lean on its biggest playmaker through the air.
